My first butter cookies

I first baked on my own when I was around 9 years old. We used to live in a housing inside a university with no stores around. I was hungry and fed up from eating sunny side up sandwich so I looked inside our kitchen for something else to cook. I found my mom's baking ingredients - butter, sugar, flour, egg, vanilla, and baking powder.

I remembered that we have photocopy of a recipe book with butter cookies recipe in it. I checked all the ingredients and they're complete! So I whisked and mixed, turned on the oven toaster, and baked my first butter cookies ever. It turned out good, because my childhood playmates loved it! The following days, I found myself doing the same again and again until I got fed up with butter cookies. Twenty three years after, I am here. My mom and I have a pastry house of our own. I've baked over a hundred cakes. I've taught a few people how to bake through workshops. I've released recipe books and sold several copies. The best part? I baked my own wedding cake, my mom's 60th birthday cake, and my daughters birthday cakes. I baked all of them with hard work and with so much love.

And my baking journey continues. Let's be together on this. I'll share my stories, tips, and recipes on this blog with the hope of inspiring more people to bake passionately. Come on and let's sprinkle love on every pastry we bake!
